Thanksgiving Break

Yesterday was fairly uneventful. The flight home went well, despite the huge amounts of people at the airports, especially DIA. But on the other hand, I'm sure today was a whole lot worse. Last night was pretty mello - dinner with my parents, watched NCIS, did a little reading (not enough, considering the load of homework I need to do), then fell asleep.I had an appointment at the doctor this morning at 9am and I am still shocked that I was crazy enough to schedule it that early, but oh well. I stopped by Jamba Juice on the way home, which was awesome because I have been in complete withdrawal from Jamba in Omaha. I did some more reading and fell asleep for an hour or so (Margaret Cavendish is pretty boring), then Jay and I went to the REI downtown where I bought new snowboard bindings for fairly cheap...gotta love the discount he gets! After that, Paulie and I met at Pinehurst to play 4 holes before dark. I played pretty badly except for sinking a 60 foot putt on number 16. It was a totally lucky shot, but whatever, I don't care. My parents and I drove up to Superior (just outside of Boulder) to our family friend's house for dinner and to watch the Avs beat the Ducks in a shootout! It was an awesome game. I'm so glad Joe Sakic's 2 for 2 on shootouts this season after missing all 7 last year.
We were planning on going up to A-Basin tomorrow, but we decided against it because my dad is sick and I am getting there, so now we're going to go on Friday. I can't wait to try out my new bindings.
Dinner is over here tomorrow night and should be pretty laid back since Joan, Steven, Andrew, and Grace are in Salt Lake City this year with Steven's parents. There will only be one kid here - my uncle Ted's girlfriend's terror EJ - and he will be plenty to deal with. I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow, plus not having to deal with the drama of trying to get everything ready for dinner after getting back from the mountains.
Now its time to take some NyQuil and read until I fall asleep.
Happy Thanksgiving.
